General Policy

Deposits taken for bookings are non refundable. Any booking cancelled within a month of the start of the stay is subject to being able to re let the room for the dates requested. Bookings cancelled within 7 days of the requested date are likely to require full payment as Thornton Lodge is only available as a pre booked holiday destination. Insurance policies are available for anyone concerned about their booking and the owners are happy to discuss the needs of guests at the time of booking if they feel they may need to amend their booking at short notice close to the date of arrival.
Our usual arrival is between 4-6pm. Guests may arrive outside this period only by prearranging with the owners. It is always fine to drop bags off early by arrangement if it is not possible for the room to be ready by the desired early arrival time. Generally the owners would prefer not to have an anticipated arrival later than 8pm and certainly not later than 9.30pm.
